When Pulte sought a new headquarters in Atlanta, GA, it was not just about relocating—they wanted a space that would better connect them to their investments and the customers they serve. Their new 107,000 square-foot office needed to reflect their position as the nation’s largest home builder and community developer, while also embodying the values of quality, innovation, and home-centric design that define Pulte.
The creative process behind the design began with a concept that would visually and experientially tie the office to Pulte’s mission of building exceptional homes. We took inspiration from their model homes, weaving elements of domestic life directly into the workspace. “Living rooms,” “kitchens,” “breakfast nooks,” and “patios” were strategically integrated throughout the office, making the space feel more like a home than a typical corporate headquarters. These areas weren’t just decorative—they served as functional, collaborative spaces, inviting employees to engage in a more comfortable, familiar way.
The design also included a central interconnecting stair, serving as both a physical and symbolic link between the different levels of the building. This stair was carefully crafted to showcase Pulte’s brand identity, incorporating materials and design details that reflect the quality and craftsmanship of their homes. It became more than just a functional element; it was a visual statement of the company’s values, tying the entire space together and reinforcing the connection between the work environment and the homes Pulte creates.
Ultimately, the design of Pulte’s headquarters was an effort to bring the essence of home into the workplace. By blending familiar, welcoming spaces with the brand’s core values, we created an office that not only reflects Pulte’s leadership in the industry but also fosters a sense of connection, collaboration, and pride among its employees.
