Prior to founding Jessen Architects in 2017, John established and led a prominent 25-year practice in Washington DC for VOA Associates (now Stantec), where he gained recognition for his award-winning work such as House of Sweden, headquarters for Volkswagen, IBM, and Gallup Polls, iconic residential projects, as well as pioneering work in proton therapy centers for institutions such as Johns Hopkins, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Emory, Miami Cancer Institute, UCSF, and MD Anderson.
